The production still above is from a recent project, the first-ever Hi-Definition concert shot in Israel. The artist was Dudu Fisher, international singing star , while trained as a Cantor, has sung as Jean Valjean in the international cast of ‘Les Miserables’, and other Broadway shows and performs in many languages , including Hebrew, English, Spanish and Italian. The show was shot with 8 Sony Cine Alta Hi-Definition Cameras, with an all-Israeli Crew, and was also post produced in Israel and prepared for it’s delivery to PBS, as a pledge break/membership Special. The hauntingly beautiful ancient ruins of the Roman Theater with incredible acoustics, in the Beit Sha’en National Park, built around the First Century B.C., served as the historic backdrop and a visually stunning venue for a powerful yet intimate musical performance. Scouting the ancient ruins at night, I shot a couple of stills to be used as back-plates for the show’s end credits. Some of them appear below. The concert Special and DVD were directed by Richie Namm. Tzvi Small was the Supervising Producer and Danny Spear Produced for Broadcast Video, Tel Aviv,. The Executive Producer was Bruce Gelb in partnership with PBS Station WPBT Miami.
